Casina Colosso, in the heart of the recent expansion of the city towards the sea, until a few decades ago was part of an extensive, fertile, large estate. One of the many rural settlements that from the end of the eighteenth century began to inhabit the territory, between the walled city and the sea, particularly suited, for the fortunate geographical position, the climate and the quality of the land, to the cultivation of vines, tobacco, olive tree, orchards and vegetables.

An area with a unique landscape value, ideal for a quiet residence, crossed by a dense network of streets serving the summer cottages, '' dine '' for the Neretines perhaps for the convivial dinners they enjoyed in the long summer. An area in continuum with the Portoselvaggio Natural Park towards the sea and with the extensive inland estates dotted with streets, ancient farmhouses of considerable historical-architectural value, among which the `` Brusca '' farm stands out.

The Casina Colosso over the centuries has assumed its current consistency. The oldest central nucleus (15th - 16th century) with three large rooms on the ground floor with barrel vaulted ceilings on thick walls and the staircase to the first floor for as many three rooms with a light canopy roof.

The expansion characterizing from an architectural point of view dates back to the second half of the 18th century as evidenced by the inscription found consecrating the church to the Madonna del Dolore, an example of late Baroque architecture suitable for welcoming the faithful of the countryside around the call of the bell tower.

The last modest extension dates back to the early 1950s with a volume well integrated with the oldest building. With the same intervention, the Casina was equipped with an electrical system, a hygienic-sanitary system and, on the first floor, precious grit and cementine floors discreetly preserved.

A recent restoration, aimed at recovering it for a compatible tourist-accommodation use, has brought the building back to its original consistency.

Once destined for the transformation and conservation of countryside products, the rooms on the ground floor with three large fireplaces, oven and oven, snowbox and cistern have been used as rooms for relaxation and quality catering offering the best local products. .

Since the tank was technically impossible to recover it to its original function, it will be used as a characteristic cellar for storing wines, cheeses and sausages.

The furnishings wisely contextualized with the architecture were chosen with particular care. The ground floor is surrounded by a large '' Mediterranean '' garden with swimming pool, baby pool, Jacuzzi, green area equipped for children to play, suitable for hosting events of moderate importance with the characteristic church and other covered spaces.

On the first floor, the ancient `` noble floor '' inhabited by the gentleman which consisted of a succession of large rooms, with minimal changes to the original system, a studio apartment and four suites with equipped terraces, comfortable bathrooms with emotional showers or Jacuzzi. They give the rooms a particular atmosphere between ancient and contemporary, the ancient floors and nineteenth-century furnishing elements mixed with modern furnishings.
